Privacy policy

01. A game without an account

FROM ZERO is a single-player game. We do not ask you to create an account or provide your name, email address or contacts to play. We do not operate a server that stores your game progress. The game uses Google AdMob for optional rewarded advertisements and Google Analytics for Firebase to measure app usage.

02. Progress stored on your device

Your game progress and settings, including sound, music and language, are stored locally. We do not upload your save to a gameplay server. Your operating system may include app data in device backups, depending on your settings.

Resetting the game or deleting the app can remove its local save. Separate operating-system backups may remain. Device controls and backup settings determine how those copies are handled.

03. Optional advertising with Google AdMob

A rewarded video plays when you choose a Watch an ad option and provides an in-game bonus. AdMob may process the Android advertising ID and app set ID; on iOS, IDFA when you allow tracking and IDFV; approximate location derived from your IP address; device and app information; ad interactions; and ad delivery diagnostics.

Google and its advertising partners process advertising data for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention under their own policies. Data processed by the SDKs is encrypted in transit. Choosing not to watch an ad does not disable all SDK collection or Firebase Analytics.

04. App analytics with Firebase

Google Analytics for Firebase collects app-usage information such as first launch, sessions, screen or activity information and app version, together with device information and app-instance identifiers. Google may derive approximate location from an IP address. The game does not request precise location.

Analytics helps us understand usage and improve the game. It is separate from your local save and is not processed only temporarily. The current game does not provide an in-app switch to disable analytics. Google processes analytics data as a service provider.

05. Your advertising choices

Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized advertising. Where the SDK requires it, you can review or change your choice in Settings → Ad privacy choices.

On iOS, the system asks whether the app may track you. If you decline, IDFA is not shared or used to personalize ads. You can change this under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, the system privacy settings let you reset or delete the advertising ID. These controls do not disable the game's analytics collection.

06. This website

This website does not include advertising or visitor-analytics scripts. Fonts and game images are hosted with the website. A functional language-preference cookie, fromzero_language, may remember your chosen website language; it is not used for advertising.

Hosting and network providers may process technical request information, including IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time, to deliver and protect the website. Store buttons open Apple or Google websites, which apply their own policies.

07. Messages you send to us

If you contact support or make a privacy request by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond, investigate the issue and handle the request. We keep correspondence only for as long as needed for those purposes or applicable legal obligations.

08. Retention, sharing and international processing

Local saves remain on your device until removed or reset. Retention of advertising and analytics data depends on the relevant Google service, its settings and its policies. Technical website information is handled by hosting providers for operation and security.

Advertising data may be shared with Google's advertising partners. Providers may process information outside your country, subject to their applicable privacy terms and safeguards. We do not maintain a player-account database or store copies of your game save.

09. Privacy requests and children

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, restrict processing, object or withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request. Because the game has no account, we may need information to identify data we can actually associate with you. Requests concerning Google's services may also require Google's own privacy tools. The Data & deletion page explains available controls.

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact the developer.
